Discover the Real Beauty of Tuscany

Tuscany, just when you think you’ve seen everything, it will surprise you. From the exploration of Medieval hamlets to prestigious exhibitions, it is a destination that will take you on a different kind of emotional tour in Italy.
An unforgettable travel experience, “Visiting Tuscany” transcends the main towns of Florence and Siena. Instead it becomes the discovery of a province, through its many opportunities for tourists to glimpse at something unexpected.

Tuscany, the portrait of beauty

Montepulciano, founded by the Etruscans, rises near Siena, between Val di Chiana and Val d’Orcia. This town has a strong vocation for art and is also renowned as “the jewel of XVI century”. This is due to its noble palaces and the architectural style of its historical center, which were designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder and Jacopo Barozzi aka Vignola, (among the others).

Those travelling here in the upcoming months could go to the exhibition dedicated to Giorgio de Chirico, scheduled from 8th June to 30th September, is an event entirely focused on portraits: 68 artworks which recall the career of the brilliant inventor of Metaphysical Painting.

The exhibition will be held at the Poliziana Fortress (restored in 2011), located at the highest point of the town; Montepulciano is also unique because the International Art Workshop is hosted here annually. A contemporary art festival, it attracts many people from all over the world and is a sign of the passion of Poliziani for creativity and talent in all expressions.

Discover the landscape from a new perspective

There is a wide range of choices for accommodations in Tuscany: farmhouses, historical dwellings, romantic castles and elegant villas, old buildings that now have an original design and a cozy mood. Once you book your charming country hotel in Tuscany, you can choose your favorite activities.

For example, have you ever tried a hot-air balloon flight? An exciting and exclusive experience, lasting between 45 minutes to 1 and ½ hours, it is a very high-end experience that is better booked at least 2 weeks in advance.
Typically flights depend on weather conditions, so Spring and Summer are the best times to enjoy your flight.

The birthplace of Tuscan elegance

Borgo Tre Rose, a charming relais named after the coat of arms of the Vagnucci family, which bought this hamlet in 1450, is a strategical venue to plan an itinerary through Pienza, Cortona, Montalcino and Montepulciano.
The owners designed rooms to create a mood of a refined and noble place. Suites and apartments feature exposed beams and light wood furniture, a country chic style.
Nobleness is a peculiarity of Montepulciano, because this is the land of Noble Wine, also produced by the vineyards of Tre Rose Estate.

Take advantage of your stay to taste one of the awarded wines, as the Simposio or La Villa, both available at the cellars of the relais, this will be the mark of a prestigious holiday with incomparable colors and flavors.
